When i was young ^^ i had a chance to go to Australia for celebrating on my sister graduation day. I went there with my parents, we live in one hotel which i already forgot the name. However, there are so many times friends of my sister drove for us...and it was wondered me...every time they drive their cars, none of them locked the door!!!
Cause, i was taught since i was very young, when you get in the car...the first thing you have to do is 'lock the car'. Even now, once i get in my car, i will lock the door automatic without anyone remind me.
But for Australia people, they seem not to lock the car as usual.
So i asked my sister, why they don't lock the car, don't they afraid of the thief?
Answer from my sister made me a bit confuss on that time.
She said, Aussi people afraid to stuck in the car, if there is an accident, more than anyone open the door to hit their head.
I never noticed that before. Funny how being from a different country will lead to a totally different set of concerns. Perhaps the auto manufacturers think more like Thai people than Australians - because on most new cars the doors will automatically lock after the key is turned in the ignition and the car is in motion.
